My knowledge of the people and places who make up the artisan and quality end of the Scottish food world is second to none. I am now able to present bespoke food tours to all regions of Scotland where you will see and meet some of the countries finest and most interesting food businesses.
From Cheese makers and artisan bakers in Fife to Salmon and venison smokers in Argyll and Perthshire. Tours are best for groups of up to ten. I can also collect you from your hotel and take you on a day trip to encompass private visits and an excellent lunch!
I will collect you from your hotel in a comfortable car or minibus depending on your group size and visit a cheese dairy, meet the maker and owner and be shown the cheese making process followed by a tasting. We will then make the short trip to Ardross Farm shop meet the owning family and have a farm tour.
Lunch at the pretty fishing village of Crail with freshly prepared crab (weather permitting!) and admire the unique architecture and harbour of this ancient burgh.
In the afternoon a walk to forage for wild foods or along the beach. Visit the famous village of Pittenweem and stop off at the Cocoa tree where we meet the owner and share her chocolate making skills.
Lastly we can stop off in St Andrews if desired on our way to The Balgove Larder for a farm visit with the owner and barbeque supper with their own superb steaks!
Visits to Michelin-starred restaurants.
Foraging for herbs, berries, mushrooms, etc.
